Description
Koji Hara's ‘Closer’ Black Lip MOP is a smaller version of the ‘Closer’ model designed by Koji Hara together with Anthony Marfione.
The blade is made of Crowry-Y powder metallurgy steel, is highly polished and hollow ground.
Reminiscent of a tactical folder, this gentleman's knife can be opened like a flipper. The smooth blade action testifies to the refined craftsmanship of Koji Hara, who is rightly recognised as one of Japan's most important knifemakers and designers.
The Closer has a stainless steel frame and mother-of-pearl inlays (MOP - Mother of Pearl). The handle, the upper part of the blade and the mother-of-pearl inlays are artistically designed as bamboo motifs. Bamboo is a recurring motif in Koji Hara's work. In Japan, this plant stands for strength and flexibility, but also for longevity and resilience.
